Terms and Conditions

These terms describe how Nexus Forensics software, subscriptions, licenses, support, billing, and website materials may be used.

Last updated: June 18, 2026

1. Company and contact

These Terms and Conditions apply to products and services provided by Nexus Forensics Inc. For questions about these terms, contact sales@nexus-forensics.ca.

2. Products and license

Nexus Forensics provides software tools for public-source evidence preservation, digital evidence review, reporting, and related investigative workflows. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, software is licensed, not sold, and may be used only by authorized users under the purchased plan or license.

3. Acceptable use

You are responsible for using Nexus Forensics products lawfully and only for authorized purposes. You must not use the software to violate applicable law, infringe third-party rights, bypass access controls, conduct unauthorized surveillance, or process data without a valid legal, contractual, or organizational basis.

4. Customer data and evidence files

Nexus Forensics products are designed around zero-cloud, local-first workflows. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Nexus Forensics Inc. does not host, collect, process, or access the evidence files analyzed by the software. Evidence processing, indexing, storage, retention, and review remain under your organization's physical and digital control.

The software is intended to preserve visible, user-selected evidence, such as on-screen content, screenshots, local files, and source-linked case material. It is not intended to bypass platform controls, scrape hidden data, or access non-visible account content.

You are responsible for managing access, encryption settings, retention schedules, backup, disclosure, deletion, and legal authority for your case data. Nexus Forensics tools can support local repositories, local or agency-network indexes, hashes, audit logs, and retention workflows, but your organization controls how those workflows are configured and used.

5. Billing and Vendor on Record

Some purchases may be processed by the Vendor on Record. The Vendor on Record may handle checkout, payment processing, tax calculation, invoices, subscription management, and payment-related support. Purchases processed by the Vendor on Record may also be subject to its buyer terms and policies.

6. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

If a product is sold as a subscription, it may renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period unless required by law or allowed under the applicable refund policy.

7. Intellectual property

Nexus Forensics Inc. retains all rights, title, and interest in its software, documentation, designs, logos, website content, and related intellectual property. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software except as permitted by a written agreement or applicable law.

8. No legal advice

Nexus Forensics tools can support evidence preservation and review, but they do not provide legal advice. You are responsible for determining whether your use of the software is lawful, admissible, authorized, and appropriate for your jurisdiction and organization.

9. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexus Forensics products and website materials are provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or fitness for a particular legal outcome. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded are not limited by these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexus Forensics Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or loss-of-data damages arising from use of the software or website.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
